3rd shift Warehouse Supervisor -direct-hire
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
Pay/Shifts: up to $65K plus a $10K shift premium
10:30pm-7:30am Sunday-Thursday
The Warehouse Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and assisting in various warehouse duties including monitoring the moving of products to and from the production lines, shipping, receiving, material handling functions, and keeping the warehouse organized. The Warehouse Shift Supervisor manages approximately 10 Forklift Operators and reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Job Duties
- Ensure orders received have gone through the proper inspections and verifications for accuracy
- Ensure that all finished goods are put away and scanned into the proper bin location
- Drive accident and injury reduction targets
- Guides, coaches, and develops employees in a team environment that rewards performance. Administers discipline, and corrective action as needed.
- Formulates and recommends improvements and changes to assist the warehouse team in attaining all operational goals and standards.
- Reviews, monitors and communicates daily/weekly/and monthly reporting of key performance indicators and the corresponding implications/action items.
- Troubleshoots all receiving and shipping complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent reoccurrence
- Drive and facilitate continuous improvement assignments
- Monitor capacity and adjust resource levels to meet service demands.
- Perform quarterly and annual evaluations
- Acquire and develop resource talents, skills, and abilities to achieve organizational goals. Provide opportunities for continual growth.
- Assume a regular presence on the plant floor and occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate and communicate cross-functionally to assist the team in solving operational issues
- Motivates team to solve day-to-day operational issues to reach identified performance goals
- Enforce adherence to all company policies, procedures, objectives, plant rules, and safety standards.
- Assists with covering the shipping desk, scheduling and confirming pickups/deliveries with approved carriers, following up on outstanding P.O. deliveries
Job Requirement
- High school, GED or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Effectively work as part of a team and lead that same team
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Strong organizational skills / Attention to detail
