Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
Based in Phoenix, AZ we are a Heavy Civil General Contractor specializing in wet utility and roadway construction! Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Permanent Heavy Civil Preconstruction Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing the preconstruction phase of heavy civil projects, including site work, underground utility, and roadway construction.
Responsibilities:
As a Heavy Civil Preconstruction Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring all preconstruction activities are efficiently managed and executed. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the preconstruction phase of various heavy civil projects, ensuring all elements are accurately planned and executed.
2. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop project strategies and schedules.
3. Reviewing and analyzing project plans and specifications, identifying potential risks and challenges, and proposing effective solutions.
4. Leading the underground utility, site work, and roadway construction planning processes.
5. Conducting site visits and meetings to assess project progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
6. Coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
7. Preparing and presenting detailed project reports and updates to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of experience, skills, and qualifications, including:
1. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on preconstruction and project management.
2. Proven experience in heavy civil construction projects, including site work, underground utility, and roadway construction.
3. Knowledge of WWTP (Wastewater Treatment Plant) operations and management a PLUS.
4. Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
5. Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential project risks and propose effective solutions.
8. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
