About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Supply Chain and Manufacturing to play a pivotal role in its mission to combat climate change. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and executing the company's supply chain strategy, with a focus on building strategic vendor relationships to support the rapid scale-up of carbon removal deployments. This role demands a mission-driven mentality, with a commitment to the global effort of reversing climate change. The Head of Supply Chain and Manufacturing will be expected to bring at least 15 years' experience in building large-scale hardware supply chains, including the management of both custom and off-the-shelf parts, and international and domestic logistics. Experience in negotiating complex agreements, assessing make vs. buy decisions, and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing supply chain teams are essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a background in a construction environment and exposure to an EPC delivery model. The Head of Supply Chain and Manufacturing at the company will work in close collaboration with the Technology, Engineering, and Research teams, and will be instrumental in the company's goal to remove 1 billion tons of CO2 from the atmosphere. The role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with superb project management skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to just get it done. The candidate should be prepared to anticipate and address supply chain bottlenecks, develop a robust supply chain infrastructure, and ensure that the company's suppliers are fully aligned with its mission. A background in policy and regulatory matters related to federal tax incentives, as well as experience in a startup environment, is a plus. The Head of Supply Chain and Manufacturing will be part of a diverse, resilient, and optimistic team, backed by leading climate partners and investors, and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the global fight against climate change.
