Job Description
The Senior Administrative Manager will oversee human resources initiatives with a focus on compliance with employment laws and regulations, enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction, and ensuring effective onboarding processes. This role will also supervise office staff and operations, manage HR file auditing, and track training programs to ensure efficient HR practices and a positive workplace culture that aligns with organizational goals. The administrative manager will supervise office staff and will oversee general business functions such as working with vendors and employees. This role is 9a-5p Monday-Friday.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Compliance Management:**
- Develop, implement, and monitor HR compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of HR practices, including auditing HR files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as the primary contact for compliance inquiries and investigations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements affecting the workforce.
2. **Employee Relations and Engagement:**
- Design and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Address employee concerns and grievances, promoting open communication and conflict resolution strategies.
- Analyze employee feedback and engagement survey results to develop actionable improvement plans.
3. **Onboarding and Training:**
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the company and compliance with necessary training requirements.
- Implement and track training and development programs that support employee growth and career advancement, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
4. **Performance Management:**
- Develop and oversee performance management processes that support employee development and align with business goals.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues and best practices.
5. **Policy Development and Implementation:**
- Create and regularly update HR policies and procedures to reflect current laws and best practices.
- Ensure that all employees are informed of policies and procedures and understand their rights and responsibilities.
6. **Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:**
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create a workplace that values diverse perspectives and promotes fairness.
- Develop strategies to enhance workforce diversity and ensure equitable HR practices.
7. **Supervisory Leadership:**
- Supervise office staff and manage office operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to organizational standards.
- Oversee daily office activities, including administrative tasks, resource allocation, and facility management.
- Conduct regular team meetings to coordinate efforts, address challenges, and celebrate successes.
- Set performance goals for office staff, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to enhance team effectiveness.
8. **Strategic Leadership:**
- Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate HR strategies into overall business planning.
- Represent the HR function at executive meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on compliance and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance best practices, and HR management principles.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful employee engagement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
