About the Position

Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an Operations Administrative Supervisor who will be responsible for the operational support and administrative functions of GIG, and external distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive management of day-to-day workflow including job assignments and scheduling
  • Train and develop new and existing associates
  • Develop and/or direct the creation and maintenance of training documentation
  • Operate mail equipment including postage metering and document insertions equipment; perform basic maintenance as needed
  • Maintain and develop records for billing, inventory, mailing and parcel shipping and maintain all records and reports as may be necessary to audit department operations and staffing
  • Analyze workflow and develop new procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, GIG business units and external distribution network
  • Assist Director with strategic planning, budgeting and oversight of cost center budget
  • Complete the education requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job
  • Five (5) years work experience with functional areas under scope of supervision including demonstrated experience with incoming and outgoing mail, package handling and shipping requirements, purchasing, supply inventory process and switchboard/advanced electronic telephone systems
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Advanced knowledge of related software systems and basic computer technologies
  • Must be able to interact, communicate and influence a wide variety of people (internal and external) in a professional and effective manner using reading, writing, speaking and listening skills
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, willing and able to meet strict deadlines and desire to propose opportunities and lead activities
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities required to maintain consistent quality and quantity of work
  • Ability to cope with stressful situations
