McCallie School is hiring: RN or LPN in Chattanooga

McCallie School is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Student Health Center team in a unique, on-campus role. This position requires the nurse to reside in a provided one-bedroom apartment on campus, offering overnight support to students from Sunday through Thursday, 11 PM - 7 AM.

The nurse will be an essential part of the McCallie community, fostering a supportive environment for students, campers, parents, and residential staff, and developing positive relationships with area healthcare providers.

Compensation:

• On-Call Pay: $10/hour
• Working Hours Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications
• Housing: Free, on-campus one-bedroom apartment with utilities included

Responsibilities:

• Provide health support to students, campers, and other community members overnight
• Respond promptly to health needs and emergencies, ensuring a safe and caring environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and residential staff to foster trust and reliability
• Coordinate care and services with local healthcare providers as needed

Requirements:

• Current nursing license as LPN or RN
• Proven experience in a nursing role, ideally with experience in student or residential health settings
• Ability to respond effectively to overnight health concerns with a calm, professional demeanor
