Position: Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that nursing duties and services are consistent with state nursing practice guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of individual patients’ histories, current progress, and treatment goals.
  • Assess patients and make appropriate nursing decisions based on their needs.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to any changes in patient conditions, facilitating necessary interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
  • Serve as a resource for problem-solving, conflict resolution, and patient care issues.
  • Ensure patients are prepared for activities and accompany them as needed.
  • Clearly articulate the role of the Registered Nurse in emergencies, including cardiopulmonary arrest.
  • Coordinates care with ancillary clinical departments to provide optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.

Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute/post-acute or pediatric setting is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 45 days of hire.
  • Patient de-escalation training (SAMA) is required within 30 days of hire.
