About the Job

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neurology Unit team in Nashville. This is an onsite, contract position providing exceptional care to patients dealing with neurological conditions, including strokes, brain injuries, seizures, and spine surgeries. If you have a strong medical/surgical background and a passion for patient-centered care, this is an opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

• Local candidates within 50 miles will receive a rate of $41.65/hr.
• Full-time hours (36 hours per week) with 12-hour shifts, giving you more flexibility in your schedule.

What youll be doing:

• Implementing and monitoring patient care plans.
• Serving as the primary coordinator of all care disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Assessing and communicating patient conditions and carrying out physician orders.
• Coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Providing care for patients dealing with neurological disorders, strokes, epilepsy, dementia, and brain/spine surgeries.
• Maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 in a 38-bed unit, ensuring high-quality, focused care.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience as a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts from 18:45 - 07:15.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Two professional references required.
