Halsey Dermatology is hiring: Outpatient Dermatology Nurse (RN) in Sag Harbor

Halsey Dermatology in Sag Harbor, NY is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a nurse to join our young vibrant outpatient dermatology practice in the Hamptons. Our mission is to provide high quality dermatology and skin care services to the entire community. This position would be best suited for an outgoing person who enjoys working with both Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology patients, and who has an interest in skin and skin care, and a willingness to be trained on aesthetic devices and techniques.

Position Responsibilities:

• Willing to train! The RN will deliver aesthetic treatments within scope of practice based on physician / PA orders including
  • Non-ablative lasers (Lutronic Ultra, Lutronic Mosaic 3D, Quanta Chrome)
  • Radiofrequency devices (Everesse)
  • Superficial skin peel devices (SKN LAB)
  • Laser hair removal
• Helps patients during medical and esthetic examinations/procedures
• Provides RN-level nursing support typical for an outpatient medical office
• Assists and collects patient data during patient encounters with physicians and physician assistants
• Assists with phone triage of patients when necessary during business hours
• Communicates with patients and other healthcare entities regarding orders, results, and patient care matters
• Oversees medical assistants, and provides help and professional guidance as necessary
• Performs other related and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• NYS Registered Nurse License
• Experience and comfort using Electronic Medical Record Systems required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking, customer service, time management, and organization skills
• High level of professionalism when performing all duties
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Spanish language proficiency/fluency appreciated, though not required
