Location: Naugatuck, CT
Schedule: Part-Time - 24 hours per week
Compensation:Very competitive pay with signing bonuses. Shift differential for evening/night shifts.

Required Experience:
- Valid state RN nursing license
- Degree in nursing, epidemiology, biology, microbiology preferred
- 2+ years in wound care management, preferably in a Long-Term Care setting
- Familiar with research-backed wound care and cleansing products
- Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) Certification preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Compassion and empathy in caring for residents with complex wound care needs
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and expertise of wound care and prevention program for residents and staff
- Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients exhibiting skin complications
- Provide direct wound care interventions, including dressing changes, debridement, and wound irrigation
- Review, update and direct the implementation of wound care & prevention policies and procedures
- Monitor wound healing progress and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment modalities
- Educate residents, families, and staff on wound care protocols and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, wound care specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate documentation of wound assessments, interventions, and outcomes for regulartory compliance and reimbursement
