We offer inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults needing mental/behavioral health, chemical dependency; and co-occurring disorders treatment through our medically supervised detoxification.

We are looking for an Educator/ Infection Control Nurse to help with BBHH's vision of providing that excellent care and striving to be the best hospital we can be.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Implementation and delivery of quality internal training and educational programs to all staff through in-service, group training, individual training, and point of care training.
- Assisting with the development of new clinical programing for inpatient services to better service clientele.
- Provide direct patient care through interventions as needed and point of care training.
- Develop trainings for orientation programs using evidence based practices.
- Collaborates with clinical leadership in in all departments to ensure proper training of personal.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to assist with development of clinical programing.
- Develop and utilize tools to measure clinical success and outcomes.
- Facilitate escalation prevention, de-escalation, Handle with Care restraint training for all personnel.

Though we do need to meet some minimum requirements for the position such a High School Diploma or Equivalent and further education as described below, we're really looking for people who bring their HEART to work.
If you have previous experience in a behavioral health setting as a Nurse Educator and/or with Infection Prevention, your application to this position will be moved to the shortlist of candidates.
Education
Must have a BSN, (MSN preferred). Experience with infection control and education preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
Preferred three (3) years (with the last two years) of psychiatric/behavioral nursing care experience. Experience with formal and informal teaching of adult learners. Experience working in a behavioral/psychiatric facility preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and education is accepted.

You should have a current CPR certification when you apply or obtain certification prior to your start date.

Additionally, you'll complete a "Handle-With-Care" Physical Restraint Technique Training during your orientation so that you know how and when to engage when such an event occurs.
The Nurse Educator/Infection Prevention position pay range is from $91,520 to $127.670.40
