RN Unit Manager

Our skilled nursing RN Supervisors oversee staff performance on a daily basis, including LPN Team Leaders and CNAs, acting as a resource to provide coaching and corrective action as needed. Works alongside other RN Supervisors, to provide the most dedicated leadership and care that maintains Weinberg Campus's standards.

DEPARTMENT: Long Term Care/Subacute Rehab | Rosa Coplon Living Center

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Possess excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, observational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to delegate responsibilities
  • Discipline staff as required in conjunction with the floor leader
  • Monitor all residents' incidents and determine a plan for corrective action and prevention of recurrence
  • Conduct unit/residents rounds on a frequent basis and identify problematic issues
  • Communicate with the medical staff any medical concerns or changes in resident conditions; obtain new orders as needed
  • If necessary, participate in the Admissions process and provide assistance with resident care

ATTRIBUTES OF SUCCESSFUL RN Unit Managers:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Respect for the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents
  • 3 years of experience in nursing is preferred but not required
  • Experience in long-term care and/or acute care is helpful but not necessary
