NuAire is looking for a Welding Team Leader. The primary function is to communicate priority, work assignments, and cross training needs as required to meet the production schedule. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and the ability to communicate effectively.

Shop hours are Monday – Thursday 5:00 am 3:30 pm.

Salary range: $26.00 to $34.00 per hour. Starting wage will be dependent on experience level.

Job Function:

  • Provide work direction and train employees in work procedures.
  • Report and help resolve problems as they arise.
  • Performs in-process inspection and completed unit inspection.
  • Performs any combination of tasks using welding machines as required.
  • Communicate with various levels of the organization.
  • Lead the team with safety practices and employee handbook adherence.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Degree or certificate from a vocational school and/or five years of experience.
  • Sets up and operates all types of welding machines.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use a caliper to measure dimensions.
  • Plans, lays out and performs all types of welding operations.
  • Welds all standard and non-standard parts with close tolerances.
  • Selects and uses correct welding rods and clamps.
  • Selects correct fabricated parts to weld.
  • Ability to use grinders, cut off wheels and other hand tools to repair product and return to spec.
