About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cloos Welding Robot Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Cloos welding robots, ensuring high-quality and precise welding on a variety of metal components. This role requires technical expertise in robotic welding processes, strong attention to safety, and the ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on the equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and program Cloos welding robots to perform automated welding tasks in accordance with production specifications and quality standards.
- Set up and configure welding parameters based on material types, thicknesses, and welding techniques.
- Load and unload parts into the robot's welding fixture, ensuring proper alignment for precise welding.
- Monitor welding operations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to design blueprints or technical drawings.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on the robot and associated welding equipment.
- Troubleshoot any operational issues with the welding robot, making adjustments or repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, engineers, and quality assurance teams to ensure the final products meet required specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain detailed records of welding operations, including completed jobs, welding parameters, and maintenance activities.
- Continuously improve welding processes through feedback and collaboration with team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience operating Cloos welding robots or similar automated welding systems is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and materials, particularly in metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, AWS).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Basic understanding of programming welding robots and adjusting parameters.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong safety mindset and adherence to workplace safety regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certification or training in welding technology or robotic welding preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a welding environment, with experience operating robotic welding systems a plus.
