We are looking for an organized, friendly, and reliable Cashier to join our team at Bayberry Uniforms, a leading medical uniform store. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for handling transactions, processing payments, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, providing correct change and receipts.
  • Assist customers in finding medical uniforms, scrubs, shoes, and accessories, offering product knowledge and recommendations.
  • Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
  • Ensure all merchandise is properly tagged and priced.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and returns in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Support store operations by stocking shelves and assisting with inventory management as needed.
  • Keep track of sales, promotions, and discounts to ensure accurate transactions.
  • Follow store policies and procedures regarding returns, exchanges, and safety.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Previous cashier or retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Friendly, positive attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
