Hiester Automotive Group is currently seeking an Automotive Cashier to join our winning team. They will receive payment for products or services sold by the dealership and play a key role in maintaining or creating customer satisfaction during the business transaction.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner
Compute customer bills
Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; record amount received
Make change and issue receipts to customers
Close all repair orders as required
Fax extended warranty Repair Orders over to warranty company and follow up to collect payment
Provide refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by managers
Reconcile cash drawer daily
Work with department managers to stay abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value and any changes in price
Answer customer questions about service performed or products purchased, or refer them to someone who can.
Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refer dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution
Scan all repair order as soon as they are processed and closed
Maintain a professional appearance
Keep work area neat and clean
Other tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Team-oriented and positive attitude with high energy personality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure while still maintaining accuracy
Professional appearance and attitude required, and must be reliable
Data entry skills with attention to detail
Must have a valid U.S driver's license and clean driving record
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
