SUMMARY:

FOH- As a Host/Cashier, providing excellent guest service is a must. Greet guests and escorts them to table with menus and advises server of new party. Take names of guests when needed for the purpose of waiting list and give customer approximate time of opening of a table. Receive and disburse money. Use equipment such as adding machines, point of sale machines, and credit card processing machines to process payments for customers. Performs all closing duties and additional duties as directed by management. These tasks will be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner resulting in a high level of guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Greets guests, escort them to tables, and provides menus.

·         Seats guests in orderly fashion utilizing seating chart to provide flow of service for restaurant.

·         Maintain a waiting list and notify customers once table is open.

·         Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to patrons.

·         Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness.

·         When processing guest check, greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner, ask them about their dinning experience, thank them, and invite them back.

·         Operate point of sale to reconcile guest’s checks and make change for monies tendered.

·         Answer incoming calls, know all general information and marketing promotions.

·         Complete all necessary paperwork for end of shift reconciliation.

·         Maintain a high level of sanitation at all times.

·         Perform any general cleaning tasks using authorized, institutional labeled cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health and safety standards.

·         Attend trainings, pre-shifts, and departmental meeting as scheduled.

·         Assist in training and supporting of new employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Entry Level position.
  • 6 months prior cash handling experience (preferred).
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work flexible work schedules including holidays, weekends, and nights.

EDUCATION:

·         High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Constantly walking and standing.
  • Constant hearing, seeing, and talking.
  • Constantly balancing, bending, reaching, twisting, holding, wrist motion, and stooping.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

·         Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.

·         Close spaces while working with others.

·         Excessive noise and smoke.
