Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The incumbent in this position courteously and efficiently provides parking tickets and/or receipts and collects parking fees from patrons at Valet/Coat Check window and lot locations.



Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Northern Indiana their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations in order to provide superior guest service.
  • Provides extraordinary guest service, positively effects interactions with customers and team members, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
  • Greet customers warmly, with a smile & provide an excellent customer experience.
  • Provide directions or general information to patrons.
  • Maintain cashier work area in a clean, neat manner.
  • Remove trash at end of shift.
  • Collect appropriate amount of money in exchange for parking ticket/receipt.
  • Keep money and tickets neat and secure.
  • Assists guests with the checking in of coats, hats and/or umbrellas in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Issues claims checks for articles checked and returning articles on receipt of check.
  • Fills out Item Release Forms for expensive furs or leather coats.
  • Must be courteous and polite at all times.
  • Maintains cleanliness of coatroom.
  • Maintains hanger tickets to assure numbers are on correct hanger and hanger is in correct slot on rack.
  • Informs next shift of anything that may have happened regarding coatroom.
  • Reconcile daily cash drawer.
  • Adhere to cash handling procedures.
  • Keep booth secure.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attend seminars when needed.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

High School diploma or equivalent required. The skills and abilities necessary for effective performance within this position are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or related experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Basic math skills.
  • 10-Key calculator.

ABILITY TO:

  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Must be able to address stressful situation with guests with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, use controls, reach with arms and hands, twist, stoop, kneel or crouch.
