Position Summary Nanotech Energy is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our organization's production operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to ensure that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process while monitoring employees and organizing workflows. By giving clear and timely instructions, the supervisor oversees the work of other employees to ensure the successful completion of tasks. The candidate must be highly skilled in complex operations and able to comprehend the multifaceted nature of the manufacturing process. The ability to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing costs is also essential to ensure maximum quality and efficiency. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as well as initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. This role is essential to Nanotech Energy’s objectives to ensure that the production processes result in products of maximum quality with maximum profits. This position requires working with chemicals and the candidate needs to be able to maintain compliance with various safety regulations, such as wearing proper PPE. The successful candidate is a self-starter and can thrive in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities and Duties · Develop and implement operational strategies, plans, and procedures. · Monitor and evaluate the performance of personnel and operations. · Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of facilities and equipment. · Assist in the training and development of personnel. · Manage daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow. · Monitor inventory levels and send requests to order supplies as needed. · Manage financial operations, including budgeting and forecasting. · Analyze and report on operational performance metrics. · Quick and appropriate resolution of all challenges, discrepancies or miscommunications. · Understands and contributes to the EHS policies. · Other duties as assigned. Qualifications · High School Diploma required, a degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field is preferred. · Proven work experience as Production Supervisor or similar role. · Working knowledge of various types of manufacturing machinery and tools. · Experience in developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies and plans. · Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. · Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Strong work ethic, self-motivated and results driven. · Ability to lead and motivate personnel to meet goals and objectives. · Excellent problem-solving skills. Physical Demands · Although primary work will be conducted in a production environment, on occasions the employee may be exposed to moderately loud environments from machinery and manufacturing processes, use of proper PPE may be assigned and worn. · Individual should be able to sit or stand at and operate a workstation. · Ability to walk/travel within the facilities for inspection activities. · On occasions the employee may need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
