Introduction
We have an exciting career opportunity for a Center Supervisor who will provide training and supervision of center staff; provide oversight of the operations and clinical aspects of the center and its participants; and maintain communication with parents, staff, and regulatory agencies. The location of the position is Hamilton, NJ. The Hours for the position are Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Supervision
- Oversee and conduct training and evaluation of staff.
- Assign and monitor mentors for new staff.
- Initiate and conduct disciplinary action for staff as necessary.
- Create and implement daily and weekly schedules to include activities, job placements, transportation assignments, etc.
- Assign individuals to teaching staff to ensure adequate coverage.
- Maintain Individualized Health Plan (IHP) and progress report schedules; assign progress reports, probes etc.; review and edit for accuracy.
Operations
- Oversee daily operation of assigned residence including creation and implementation of residential schedule, ensuring adequate staff coverage for all shifts
- Dispense/oversee medication administration and documentation
- Oversee and implement behavior support plans for all participants
- Maintain participants’ files including medical, dental, IHPs, etc.
- Schedule all medical and dental appointments including follow ups and ensure coverage
- Maintain and report residential and participant budget related activities
- Complete and submit behavioral, clinical, financial, medical and facilities paperwork monthly and/or as necessary
- Complete and submit weekly attendance records and time off requests
- Maintain time off records for participants and staff
- Complete and adhere to all necessary purchasing, requisition, and accounting forms and procedures
- Participate in monthly medication check-in with Health & Social Services Coordinator and/or Adult Services Nurse.
- Perform light facility based maintenance duties to include changing light bulbs, unclogging toilets and drains, simple furniture repairs, trash removal, and moving smaller pieces of furniture.
- Maintain safe living conditions by performing tasks such as simple snow removal, maintaining an uncluttered environment, changing batteries in smoke detectors etc.
- Report any maintenance issues/needs to the Facilities Department.
- Oversee all components of the Adult Day Care and Nutrition Program.
- Record and update data daily in Therap.
Clinical
- Develop and oversee implementation of Individual Habilitation Plans for all participants in center.
- Participate in the development of behavior support plans for all participants.
- Ensure data collection on all teaching and behavior support programs and review for accuracy and progress.
- Troubleshoot teaching and behavior support plans as needed.
- Ensure completion of monthly progress reports.
Communication/Meetings
- Maintain responsive, professional and proactive communication with families and colleagues
- Regularly schedule and conduct individual meetings with Lead Parent and house staff
- Schedule and conduct regular residence meetings for staff and for participants
- Attend monthly Supervisor’s Meetings and Trainings
- Quarterly communication with DDD case managers
- Notify the Coordinator immediately of any situation which compromises the safe and effective operation of Adult Services and the participants’ it serves.
- Cooperate with Eden Autism Services and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection or investigation.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Social Services or related field is preferred;
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of direct care work experience, preferably with developmentally disabled individuals; one (1) year supervisory experience; Fee for Service/Therap certification a plus; must possess a valid driver’s license with record in good standing and 3 years of driving experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time during the work day, including bending, squatting, kneeling, stretching and stooping; and reaching above shoulder level.
- Vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to utilize and maintain physical restraints with participants as needed.
- Mobility to ensure the safety of participants at all times.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge
- Familiarity with IHPs including development and implementation.
- Ability to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of applied behavioral analysis.
- Proven commitment to helping individuals with autism and their families and willingness to support the organization’s mission and growth.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure organizational compliance with contractual and regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with individuals and groups, both internally and externally.
- Strong ability to analyze an issue or problem and make recommendations for an effective and efficient resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Proven commitment to providing excellent customer service on a consistent basis.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency in MS Office including Word and Excel.
