Job Description
Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an experienced Steward Supervisor to support the culinary department at our gorgeous property, Sheraton Valley Forge. This position will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dish washing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.
The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.
Essential Functions
- Supervise the stewarding staff. Ensure new associates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve job expectations. Evaluate the staff's job performance and coach and counsel as necessary
- Perform and supervise the staff's compliance with proper and safe kitchen cleaning for both the main and restaurant kitchens
- Monitor, maintain and control maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen and equipment
- Supervise adherence to all safety protocols including correct storage, usage and inventory of clean supplies
- Ensure that the Associate cafeteria is maintained, cleaned and kept in an orderly fashion
- Ensure hotel maintains the proper inventory levels of all kitchen supplies to include china, glassware, and silverware. Complete monthly inventories
- Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported to Engineering through proper channels
- Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory as assigned
- Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction
- Comply with policies and procedures. Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security, and emergency procedure

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of related experience
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred
