We are currently searching for Shipping/Receiving Supervisor for our Whitestown, IN location. As a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor you can expect to plan, organize, and monitor the receiving, storage, and shipping of company product for our customers in coherence with promoting the corporate vision, mission statement, and core values.

What you need to be successful at Opus Packaging:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within the corrugated industry.
  • Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess strong organizational, time management, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detailed oriented and focused.
  • Continuous improvement mentality.
  • Proficiency in in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in related business.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience within the corrugated industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with DOT regulations.

During a normal workday you can expect to:

  • Lead the shipping and receiving team to achieve corporate goals by planning and directing shipping and receiving activities.
  • Establish department priorities for orders in keeping with customer needs, effective operations, cost factors.
  • Implement and maintain the safety and quality procedures within the department.
  • Monitor and evaluate operating procedures for continuous improvement by monitoring aged inventory and maintaining trailer/tractor inspections.
  • Build and maintain an effective team by revising production schedules and priorities because of customer demands, equipment failure or operating problems.
  • Develop and maintain distribution services resources and facilities by maintaining a safe, clean organized, and professional environment, minimizing consumed floor space
