Job DescriptionAs the Engineering Supervisor, you will lead and manage the Engineering team, overseeing their efforts to maintain and repair building structures and grounds. You will ensure that all maintenance tasks and repairs are carried out efficiently and effectively, maintaining the highest standards for facility upkeep and functionality.
- Directs workers engaged in painting and conducting structural repairs on masonry, woodwork, and building furnishings.
- Assists Chief Engineer with various supervisory duties, including interviewing, hiring, and training team members.
- Handles employee concerns and helps resolve any issues to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Requisitions necessary tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Supports the supervision of maintenance employees, ensuring adherence to the organization's policies and relevant laws.
- Assists Chief Engineer with various supervisory duties, including interviewing, hiring, and training team members.

- Inspects completed work to ensure adherence to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
- Reviews production schedules, estimating required worker hours for each assignment to meet deadlines.
- Interprets company policies for team members and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to align with production schedules and enhance productivity.
- Develops and implements strategies to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their goals.
- Maintains accurate records of time and production.
- Works closely with other supervisors to align the activities of different departments.
- Assists with tasks when necessary, working alongside team members to ensure project completion.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on trade & facilities maintenance experience in a resort or commercial environment.
- 2+ years of Supervisory experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Must be energetic, self-motivated, and articulate, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure and execute to meet deadlines.
- Must be available to work on weekends and holidays.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- CPO license and HVAC certification is required.
- EPA certification is preferred but not required.
