Location: Fullerton, CA FT - On-site Summary The Electromechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising, training, leading, developing, and executing all aspects of maintenance department in Industrial Food Manufacturing, specifically pasta production. This position exists to ensure that production equipment is properly maintained to produce and package all products. Accountability and Outcomes: · Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, general facilities and building maintenance knowledge as needed. · Trouble-shoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures. · Uses assembly drawings and manuals to tune equipment for operation, uses electrical (VFD’s, SCR’s, motor starters) and logic (PLC, SLC) principles to solve equipment problems · Conduct daily walks through the facility conducting visual inspections checking for irregular or unusual noises or behaviors from the equipment. · Ensure that proper operating procedures and safety guidelines are followed by all Maintenance personnel when equipment repairs and PM activities are conducted, complying with local, state and federal regulations. · Maintain equipment history reports for all utilities services, processing, manufacturing, and packing equipment. · Trains new Associates and team members on required skill sets for Maintenance. · Drive culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance. · Maintaining an effective maintenance work order process: Work order requests, preventive maintenance schedules, completed work orders and follow up actions. · Source/procure/maintain/control maintenance materials and inventory. · Maintain and organize all machine manual, plant drawings and other critical documents. · Execute preparation of all daily, weekly, monthly reporting. · Effectively communicate timing, delivery of parts and/or work order progress. Food Safety Responsibilities · Follow all GMP’s, food safety, and quality policies. · Ensures all GMP and all Food hygiene and Food safety standards are complying. · Report all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector, screen, or magnet deficiencies, glass breakage, and pest harborage. · Review food defense and quality records for precision, accuracy, and conformance to document control procedures, providing written verification as required. · Ensure employee compliance in the areas of food defense, food regulations, and product / process quality; provide adequate coaching as needed. · Provide immediate and long-term corrective action in the event of non-compliance to food defense and quality policies. · Record accurate and legible results on documentation · Always provide adequate housekeeping. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: · Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience in a food/pasta manufacturing environment. · Technical School Certification Preferred in Electrical. · Minimum 5 years food processing working with standard troubleshooting and repair of production equipment maintenance or related industry required. · 5 years in a plant leadership role supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing Maintenance Technicians; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees. · Experience with Panel View 500, (Panel Builder) and VFD’s programming · Experience with Process Control Instrumentation Programming and Repairs · General building maintenance. · Experience with the installation and repairs of plumbing, pumps, motors, valves, pneumatic control equipment, boilers, compressors and hydraulics. Preventive Maintenance (PM) Compliance: Achieve a PM compliance rate of 90% or higher with accuracy completing work tasks and assignments. · Inventory Accuracy: Maintain an inventory accuracy rate of 90% or higher. · Work Order Management: Ensure proper usage of work orders and assign them as needed. · Continuous Improvement: Continually improve maintenance processes and procedures · Effective utilization of all equipment maintenance reporting, completion, and routine maintenance specific to the equipment operations of the facility (SOP’s). · Maintain proper safety training for all maintenance personnel on lockout / tagout, etc. The physical capabilities an associate must have to perform for this position are as follows: · Continuous degree of physical activity. · Continuous standing and frequent walking. · Frequent bending and reaching. · Moderate stair/ladder climbing. · May handle potentially hazardous equipment or material. · Works in a cool, wet environment. · Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
