As part of this expansion in the US, XNRGY is seeking a qualified and experienced Materials Supervisor to join its team. Reporting to the Material and Logistics Manager, the Materials Supervisor will oversee the shipping, receiving, and inventory management of materials to support production. This role requires coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials, maintaining high safety standards, and optimizing warehouse operations.


An overview of your responsibilities:


  • Supervise the shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading materials, inspecting shipments, and verifying documentation.
  • Oversee material handling activities, ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, and distributed to the production area as needed.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks, reconciling discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement procedures to optimize warehouse space, material flow, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to schedule incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety inspections and training.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, such as on-time shipments, receiving accuracy, and inventory turnover.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and inventory reports.
  • Train and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse supervision, preferably in a manufacturing or HVAC environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, EPICOR).
  • Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and inventory management software.
