Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sports Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports rehab, a deep understanding of musculoskeletal conditions, and the ability to develop and implement effective rehabilitation programs tailored to an individual athlete's needs. As a Sports Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping athletes recover from injuries, prevent future issues, and optimize their overall physical function.
The position is Full-Time and located in our clinics in Bethesda, MD, Fells Point, MD, Newark, DE, and Woodbine, MD. Please note this is not a remote job.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of athletes' injuries, medical history, and physical condition.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, focusing on restoring function, reducing pain, and preventing further injury.
- Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, exercises, and modalities to address musculoskeletal issues and promote optimal recovery.
- Work closely with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize the overall treatment plan.
- Provide education and guidance on injury prevention, exercise techniques, and self-management strategies.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure progress and achievement of rehabilitation goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Strong background in sports medicine and experience working with athletes of various ages and skill levels.
