Penn State Health Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon

Located in State College, PA

The Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a full-time BE/BC fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Sports Medicine physician. This position will be located in State College, PA.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a collegial, patient-focused group with a rich history of providing great care to the community. We are looking for a motivated team player to join a team that consists of four orthopaedic surgeons, four primary care sports medicine physicians, two physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, one surgical podiatrist, and five advanced practice providers.

In conjunction with the other physicians in the group, this position will also be assigned athletic team physician coverage of a portion of the Pennsylvania State University – main campus Division 1 intercollegiate athletic sports team and athletes. Additionally, this position will also manage community patients with general orthopaedic needs and participate in orthopaedic call coverage at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.

The qualified candidate will be a full-time faculty member of the Penn State Health Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, and hold an academic rank within the Penn State College of Medicine.

What we’re seeking:

  • Medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
  • BE/BC in Orthopaedics
  • Fellowship training in Sports Medicine
  • Excellent patient care abilities and interest in teaching as well as participation in clinical research
