Job Description
The Assistant Racquet Sports Director is responsible for overseeing the Racquet Sports staff, operations, financial reporting, and programs/services for the Client Company's employees while exercising good judgment and maintaining the excellence standards set forth by the Management Company. The Assistant Director assists their supervisor and acts as the primary liaison between the staff, Management Company, and the Director. The position requires the Assistant Director to independently think and creatively control the development, implementation, and evaluation of ongoing innovative programming and find creative ways to welcome new participants. The Assistant Director will oversee the day-to-day operations and work closely with staff, community members, vendors, and independent contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the supervision of employees and community members within the Racquet Sports facilities.
* Oversees overall general facility appearance – Includes but is not limited to, Racquet Sports lounge, bathrooms, common areas, tennis courts, and pickleball courts.
* Develop and present monthly utilization, participation, and financial information.
* Assist the development and implementation of programs, events, and tournaments.
* Ensure quality control and work directly with other key contacts to ensure that the best possible service is provided.
* Manage content creation and community engagement on multiple social media platforms, including monthly newsletters.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies for the facility using various platforms.
* Provides administrative support by answering questions, providing customer service, and actively promoting the facility.
* Work with coaches, oversee regular upkeep of services offered, lessons conducted, and assist with registrations.
* Oversees all court scheduling including lessons, open play, leagues, and additional programs or events.
* Coordinates monthly staff scheduling.
* Assist the Director with staff training, development, and maintaining team goals and initiatives
* Accurately manage program supplies and inventory.
* Attends and actively participates in all required meetings.
* The Assistant Director must be available to mornings and weekdays.
* Assist Racquet Sports Director as needed with additional responsibilities.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree preferred.
* CPR and First Aid Certification required.
* Strong people skills and ability to interact professionally with residents on a daily basis.
* Proficiency in social media management and basic computer applications.
* Experience with scheduling and program management.
* Tennis and/or pickleball coaching certifications preferred.
* Knowledge of tennis and pickleball (playing experience preferred).
* Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
