Our fully-accredited non-profit private school combines traditional academics with therapeutic intervention and pre-vocational skill development. Our Adult Services Program includes five licensed community residences/group homes and two adult learning centers. Staffed by experienced therapists and instructors, the program supports adult patients as they attain their highest level of functioning and integration into the community. Matheny's Arts Access program empowers individuals with disabilities to create art without boundaries. Through the use of innovative communication systems, the artists have complete freedom to explore a world that is defined only by their unlimited creativity and unique self-expression.

Duties of this position include:
- Follows instruction of therapists to support patient/student activities.
- Follows plan arranged by therapists to work with patients/students in supportive groups
- including alternate positioning, sensory group, etc.
- Provides input to therapists and/or teachers for needed department/student supplies and equipment.
- Demonstrates competence in working with student's special equipment.
- Maintains equipment and supplies within the therapy room and department office in an orderly manner.
- Accompanies assigned students to Small Jobs Clinic, explains the problem to the technician, and assists with the repair as necessary.
- Demonstrates safe handling/transfer techniques appropriate to the task environment and the individual.
- Documents according to departmental procedures.
- Demonstrates ability to facilitate optimum interpersonal communication with each student.
- Actively participates in departmental projects, program evaluation and program development.
- Actively participates in off program activities.
