About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team in Tempe, AZ, for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position involves supporting students' social, emotional, and academic well-being by providing counseling services, crisis intervention, and collaboration with families and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges students face and be committed to fostering a positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Provide individual and group counseling to students
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop support plans for students
• Assist in crisis intervention and develop strategies for at-risk students
• Facilitate workshops and training for staff and parents on social-emotional learning and mental health issues
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and interventions

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Arizona State Licensure (LCSW or LMSW) required
• Experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse student population
