Position: Full-Time School Social Worker
Location: Buffalo, NY

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide social-emotional learning (SEL) support for both general and special education students.
• Observe and assess students' social-emotional skills to determine eligibility for interventions.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and modify intervention plans based on behavior assessments.
• Support staff in understanding and implementing SEL competencies.
• Document student and family contacts accurately.
• Assist with the multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) and participate in the crisis team.
• Complete IEP, MET, Medicaid, and treatment forms/reports.
• Maintain treatment/progress notes and Medicaid documentation per professional standards.
• Collaborate and communicate professionally with staff, students, and families.
• Ensure regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications:

• Licensed School Social Worker per R340.1792 and R340.1799f (310 Certification).
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Skills Required:

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Good interpersonal skills with children and adults.
