This entry-level position involves working as a manufacturing associate in a steel slitting environment. The individual will be cross-trained in three different roles and must be able to operate a computer and lift up to 35 pounds.
Responsibilities- Move materials at the beginning or end of the process to the appropriate area using overhead cranes and pallet jacks.
- Operate machines by loading and unloading materials, with typical run times of 30 minutes.
- Work in a paint room, reloading coating material into the machine approximately every 15 minutes.
- Ability to use a computer
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Experience in a slitting environment or chemical processing plant is ideal
This position offers the opportunity to be part of a growing team with a new line creating around 60 jobs. Employees work every other weekend and can expect a significant pay bump depending on the role learned. Full-time roles offer good benefits and a 401k plan when direct.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is non-climate controlled and has a paint smell. Safety glasses, closed-toed shoes, and long pants/sleeves are required. Shifts are from 4 AM to 4 PM or 4 PM to 4 AM, with the first week of training on days from 8 AM to 5 PM. The second week will likely be from 8 AM to 8 PM, and the third week will transition to a 2-2-3 shift. There will be plenty of overtime opportunities.
