POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides maintenance and janitorial services for buildings, automobiles, and grounds of Center facilities. This position requires travel throughout the 10 county catchment area we serve.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrives at work or at assigned locations punctually and attends work with minimal absences.
- Advises Managers remotely, and in person as necessary.
- Accurately records time worked for purposes of compensation.
- Works effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of individuals including both internal and external customers.
- Maintains the buildings to a professional standard of appearance, including but not limited to, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, cleaning windows and woodwork as needed, and noting any needed repairs and supplies.
- Performs other minor maintenance activities including carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical work as needed or as directed.
- Reports the need for any major repair work to manager or team lead.
- Cleans or supervises cleaning of restroom facilities to a professional standard of appearance, including but not limited to, sinks, toilets, urinals, floors, mirrors, and walls.
- Requisitions needed supplies by following the Center's purchasing procedures.
- Ensures that grounds around facilities are free of trash and weeds; maintains lawn area by watering, mowing and trimming; responsible for removal of snow and ice on sidewalk areas around buildings.
- Performs routine vehicle maintenance (checking oil, brakes, etc.); assists with scheduling and delivering vehicles to vendors; keeps fleet vehicles clean and vacuumed.
- Routinely checks the Maintenance Work Order system for new tickets; advises supervisor or Level 3 Worker if the need advances to external vendor; follow up and close out tickets.
EDUCATION: High School education or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Construction and general maintenance skills preferred.

- General knowledge of maintenance and janitorial skills.
- Ability to perform basic repair and maintenance work.
- Ability to operate general power tools, lawn mowers, and janitorial equipment.
- Ability to travel within the Center's service area or to other locations as needed.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend or crawl into awkward spaces, and access roof top HVAC units and generator.
- Ability to work in a variety of conditions, some hazardous, with regular exposure to elements such as extreme heat, cold, humidity, or dampness as well as loud noise, mechanical and electrical hazards, fumes, odors, dusts, chemicals, and poor ventilation
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
