Warehouse Worker Job at Workforce in Ashland

The Picker/Packer Warehouse Worker is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards to ensure high-quality customer service.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:30 PM - 11 PM 

Pay Rate: $20.50

Location: Ashland, VA

Responsibilities:

• Select products accurately based on order sheets, pack items securely, and prepare shipments for transport.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies or stock issues.
• Inspect products for damages or defects, ensuring all orders meet company standards.
• Assist in loading and unloading products from delivery trucks, following proper lifting techniques.
• Follow all warehouse safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform general cleaning and organizing tasks to keep the workspace tidy and efficient.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse or picker/packer experience preferred
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
• Familiarity with warehouse software and handheld scanners a plus
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
