POSITION SUMMARY:
- Pick-up and delivery of materials, supplies, equipment, etc
- Pressure wash the exterior of district facilities and parking lots
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Valid Texas Driver's License
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to understand detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Experienced in the use of a pallet jack, truck cart, and other moving equipment
- Experienced in the use of pressure washing equipment and related chemicals for cleaning
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utility:
- Transport various materials and supplies through the district as assigned
- Pressure wash the exterior of buildings, parking lots, and other areas following a designated schedule
- Perform all job duties in a craftsman-like manner
- Repair or replace exterior building signage in parking lots, grounds, etc
- Assist with the organization, maintenance, and disposal of district surplus furniture, equipment materials, etc
Safety:
- Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing
- Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to the supervisor
- Help keep the vehicle, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition
- Inspect and adjust tools and equipment for safety and efficiency and perform preventive maintenance as needed
Other:
- Transport workers and equipment to work sites throughout the district
- Perform all other duties as assigned

- Tools/Equipment Used: Hand tools; power tools; pallet jack; hand truck; commercial pressure washer; aerial lifts; various types of trailers; light truck or van; forklift
- Motion: Frequent walking and reaching, frequent standing; kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying (50 pounds and over) on a daily basis
- Environment: Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); exposure to noise; exposure to biological hazards (body fluids, bacteria, communicable diseases)
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; Ability to interact positively and proactively, communicate verbally and in writing
- Professional Dress: Dress must be clean, neat, in a manner appropriate for his or her assignment, and in accordance with any additional standards established by his or her supervisor and approved by the Superintendent. During work hours, visible body piercings (except earrings) will not be allowed. Visible tattoos will be covered at all times
