As an Entry Level Events Assistant at PocketLedge in New Jersey, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of various company events, such as product launches, corporate gatherings, and team-building activities. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for event planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Coordination Support: Assist in the planning and organizing of events by coordinating logistics, scheduling, and venue arrangements.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Work with vendors to arrange supplies, equipment, and services needed for events, ensuring all agreements are within budget and schedule.
- On-Site Event Support: Help set up and take down event spaces, provide on-site support, and ensure that all elements run smoothly during the event.
- Materials Preparation: Prepare event materials such as invitations, programs, signage, and attendee lists.
- Budget Tracking: Assist in managing event budgets by tracking expenses and documenting financials.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Gather feedback and compile reports to assess event success and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all event details align with company objectives and branding.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in event planning, marketing, or hospitality is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed for events.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and a strong team player.
