Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Maintenance Welder to join our client's team in La Porte, TX for a temporary to possibly long term project. The successful candidate will assist in the upkeep of the facilities, ensuring all equipment and machinery operates efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing various mechanical systems.
• Utilize logic controllers to monitor and adjust equipment settings as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance-related inquiries from staff and clients.
• Use tools such as ohmmeters and ammeters for electrical diagnostics.
• Conduct basic welding and fabrication tasks as required for repairs or installations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Collaborate with senior technicians on complex repair projects, gaining hands-on experience.

Skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge with a strong desire to learn more advanced skills.
• Familiarity with HVAC/R systems is preferred but not required.
• 1 - 2 years of machinery maintenance experience is required.
• Experience or coursework related to logic controllers is a plus.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and ammeters.
• Ability to weld and fabricate components as needed for repairs.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
