About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Independent Credit Review to lead a team in various credit risk review engagements and continuous monitoring activities. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a strong background in credit review management or a similar leadership position and a track record of delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities include serving as a subject matter expert in credit risk within commercial portfolios, developing and maintaining relationships with executive management and regulators, contributing to the strategic plans of the credit review function, and identifying and communicating emerging risk issues. The role also involves providing technical guidance, managing a credit review program, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in credit review, commercial credit risk management, portfolio monitoring, underwriting, or analysis, including a management role. Preferred qualifications include a strong working knowledge of risk management frameworks, excellent communication skills, project management experience, and technical knowledge in accounting and financial statement analysis. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, engage in difficult conversations, and meet deadlines effectively. The VP will be expected to lead by example, contribute to the continuous improvement of credit review tools and methods, and present findings to senior management and the Board of Directors.
