About the Role
The Company is seeking an SVP for Market Risk Independent Review and Challenge. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and execution of the Risk Management Independent Assurance (RMIA) program for Market Risk, ensuring that the first line of defense businesses comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This high-profile role involves delivering high-quality independent assurance reviews, control testing, and engaging with senior stakeholders to provide effective challenges and support the RMIA Market Risk mandate. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong background in market risk management, and a preference for those with prior experience in market risk, operational risk, or internal audit. Applicants for the SVP position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, with a Master's degree being a plus. The role requires a candidate with strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization. A process improvement mindset, risk management and control knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are essential. The candidate will be part of the Market Risk Chief Administrative Office (CAO) team, reporting to the CAO Regulatory and Transformation Head, and is expected to build a global network and a deep understanding of market risk-related processes and controls. The position demands a self-starter who can prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and is capable of quickly building relationships with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
