Our Slalom Houston office is seeking an Enterprise Architect (open to hiring at the Senior Principal or Director levels) who will be at the forefront of shaping transformative solutions for Fortune 500 companies, mid-market enterprises, and public sector agencies. Your expertise will directly impact our clients' success and drive Slalom's growth in the competitive tech landscape. What You'll Do
- Establish credibility from the first meeting and continue to grow the client's trust by rolling up your sleeves and taking ownership of a client's business problem.
- Collaborate with business and technology leaders to develop a clear technology strategy, aligning with business goals to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Lead strategic initiatives by leveraging emerging technologies to shape innovative, scalable architectures and deliver enterprise solutions.
- Drive effective collaboration across cross-functional teams including security, data, and development groups, ensuring architectural alignment and strategic cohesion.
- Embed cybersecurity best practices into the architecture, ensuring the robustness and compliance of the organization's technology landscape.
- Promote sustainability within the architectural framework to reduce the organization's technical cost and debt.
- Drive effective collaboration across disciplines, partners, and client business and technology groups to deliver against the strategic plan and road map, by knowing when to lead, when to guide, and when to support.
- Adapt and pivot quickly when challenges arise, staying focused on delivering business value.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing, diverse teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Bring
- Extensive experience as an architect across various industries, with expertise in cloud, enterprise, and solution architectures.
- Hands-on experience with leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI, machine learning, and digital platforms.
- Expertise in Agile, DevOps, and modern architectural methodologies, with the ability to drive innovation and agility across organizations.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and experience embedding security within enterprise architecture.
- Proven ability to lead architectural governance and change management initiatives
- Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum) are highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business leaders while driving technology teams toward execution.
- Passion for leading, mentoring, and fostering diverse, high-performing teams in a dynamic environment.
