We are working with Bon Secours Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, OH. They are seeking General Surgery (Trauma) coverage starting in December 2024. St. Charles Hospital, a Level III Trauma Center, provides advanced care to adults and is supported by highly experienced OR staff. They are looking for ongoing locum support through 2025 to handle patient influx. Bon Secours Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital Oregon, OH General Surgery (Trauma) Job Details: - Start Date: December 20, 2024 - January 5, 2025 (Ongoing coverage needed in 2025) - Schedule: 24-hour call - Calls per 24 hours: 15-20 - Surgical Cases per Day: 10 - Annual ER Volume: 27,000 - ORs: 10 - General Surgeons in Practice: 1 - Patient Population: Adults only (Pediatrics transferred to Children's Hospital nearby) Procedures: - Required: General Surgical Cases (Adult and Trauma), Central Line Insertion, PA Catheter Placement, Chest Tube Insertion, Vascular Access Devices, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty - Preferred: Appendectomies, Bowel Resections, Trauma care for perforations or lacerations of internal organs Support Staff: - Highly experienced OR staff skilled in robotic and general surgical procedures Requirements: - BLS, ACLS, ATLS certification - Clean files only - EMR System: Epic If you are interested in this opportunity, please send me your CV as soon as possible to get started.
