Locum Anesthesiologist 119388: Northern, Virginia Dates: 2/22/2024 - 12/31/2024 Needed: 3 Looking for 10 or 11 hour shifts Case mix: All cases presenting to the facility though currently we do not cardiac, transplants, high risk pediatrics or heads OB: Definitely need skill set for epidurals, spinals and general anesthesia for emergency c-sections Ortho: Absolutely and will need to be facile with regional anesthesia Neuro/Heads: Spine surgery- cervical, thoracic and lumbar cases no heads Pediatrics: Yes healthy pediatrics MD's doing own cases unless on call then would supervise the CRNAs and see all cases and add-ons during the day Supervision ratio. 3:1, 2:1 OT not expected (may occur) Paper Charting Credentialing two to three months 2-3 months Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious ad/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia Currently licensed as a Physician Never worry about your travel accommodations again!
