What will you do?
This position is typically held by an individual who has 5 + years' experience in the industry and has advanced knowledge of Schneider Electric products and outside vendor hardware knowledge, advanced understanding of HVAC, access or other building or electronic control system and software applications.
This role is considered for highest performing team member who can be considered as a future potential Engineering or Software Manager (successor). The role is beneficial when team size grows and additional supervision benefits the teams development and performance.
Team Leader is also responsible for mentoring & leading team members when the engineering manager requests or is not available.
Works under direct supervision of Engineering Manager or Operations Manager

Responsibilities Include
- SAE I through III Responsibilities
- Provide daily hands-on supervision of new team members
- Providing technical guidance and support to team members
- Assist Engineering Manager in the writing of performance and training/development goals for team members
- Conducts some day to day responsibilities of the Engineering manager related to coordination of work, gain exposure to people management and resource allocation
- Reporting on team progress and performance to Engineering manager
- Participate in national engineering steering committee meetings as requested by leadership, Expert Engineering panels, and beta product reviews
- Engage proactively in weekly workload discussions and support the team in identifying and allocating tasks to the appropriate team members
- Assist Engineering Manager with software standards deployment and usage including promoting Prometheus usage
- Attend customer meetings or internal meetings as requested by Engineering Manager
- Responsible for performing high level programming work and maintaining a utilization level in alignment with business targets
- Estimate: provide guidance on efforts for non-standard SD development; provide guidance for strategic competitive sales strategies
- Project Reviews: Represent SD during bid/proposal/project reviews and turn-overs as requested by Engineering Manager
- Peer review of software developed by other team members and ensure the quality of the deliverables
