A large hospital is seeking a hematologist/oncologist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Hartford, CT. This position starts ASAP and is ongoing, requiring coverage three days a week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. It involves outpatient clinic work and inpatient consults as needed. Call responsibilities include 2-3 weekends per year and a 1:10 night call rotation. Patient volume includes rounding on 10 inpatients and seeing 15 patients in the outpatient clinic daily. Support staff includes 10 MD/DOs and 8 APPs, with EPIC as the EMR system. The facility is a Level 1 trauma center, and the need arises due to a leave of absence or vacancy.
