Chef de Cuisine

We at Botanic are on the search for a Chef de Cuisine that has the passion,  talent and drive for southern cusine . We are farm to table , we will soon grow our own greens and vegetables as well as herbs. Our protien and poultry is purchased locally.

We are looking for that special Chef to work with our Executive Chef and culinary team to create the ultimate dining experience and lead a large kitchen crew.

Responsibilities:

Ensurring all food meets the highest Quality and Standards and served on time

Planning Menus with the Chef , designing, plating and presenting all food

Coordinating Kitchen Staff and assisting them as required 

Be part of the hiring and training of all kitchen staff, to prepare and cook all items as needed

Working with Sous chefs on Kitchen scheduling  , safety  and sanitation .

Create new recipes and up date the menu regularly.

Inventory, ordering and line checks everday and after every service and insure the line is up to spec and ready for service.

Requirments:

Qualification from a Culinary School are preferred in Culinary Arts

In - depth knowledge of food principles and best practices

Passion for creating incredible food and an in-depth knowledge of a 100% scratch Kitchen

Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.

Ability to thrive in high pressure enviroment 

Creative , Innovative thinking

Exceptional standards for cleanliness,health and safety

Available to work shifts,weekends and holidays

Experience managing inventory and stocktaking.
