Your Key Responsibilities
  • Apply Building and Fire Codes to new building designs as well as to existing buildings and renovations.
  • Prepare Code reports and other technical communication.
  • Support internal and external clients by advising on application of Codes and standards.
  • Coordinate project teams including other staff, contractors and other technical disciplines for successful project delivery.
  • Investigate, advise, and solve unusual design and Code problems.
  • Prepare project proposals and liaise with clients to understand their needs and identify new opportunities.
  • Manage projects and be the primary client contact.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong technical skills and strong knowledge of Building and Fire Codes and related standards, Ontario and National Code knowledge is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and communicate with clients, authorities and contractors.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record

Education and Experience

Degree in Engineering or Architecture. Minimum 6 years of Code consulting experience.
