The Scrum Master holds a vital role in supporting and leading Agile practices to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The Scrum Master works closely with multiple Agile teams, product owners, and stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration and ensure adherence to Agile principles and practices.

The work:
  • Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach team member participation to ensure activities are effective in driving progress and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a servant leader and Agile coach, facilitating the adoption and implementation of SAFe 6.0 for your teams.
  • Guide and mentor Agile teams on SAFe 6.0 principles, practices, and ceremonies, ensuring a consistent and effective application of the framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, and Development Teams to ensure alignment and adherence to the SAFe 6.0 framework.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing process inefficiencies, impediments, and bottlenecks in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate and lead PI Planning sessions for your teams to ensure proper alignment of teams, objectives, and dependencies.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous learning within the organization.
  • Provide coaching and training to team members on Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and SAFe implementation.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between teams, stakeholders, and leadership to achieve successful project delivery.
  • Monitor and track key metrics, such as team velocity, burn-down charts, and other relevant Agile metrics, to identify areas for improvement and measure progress.

Here's what you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline).
  • 2-5 years of experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in software development projects.
  • Experience with SAFe 6.0 implementation and working in SAFe Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading Agile trainings and workshops for teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products or projects.
  • Proficiency in Agile project management tools and software especially JIRA.
  • US Citizenship and Active Secret clearance required.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a large-scale, enterprise-level environment.
  • Active certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster or Professional Scrum Master).
  • Experience working with the Federal Government or military experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, and ability to adapt them to specific organizational needs and challenges.
  • Proven experience in facilitating PI Planning sessions and leading Agile teams in a scaled environment.
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflicts, and to provide timely feedback and guidance to individuals and teams for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards continuous improvement and self-organization.
  • Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Additional certifications, such as Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$76,300-$154,800 USD
