  • The HRBP is responsible for aligning Company business objectives with management and employees across all business departments. The position serves as an internal consultant to management regarding human resource-related issues and is an employee advocate and change agent. HRBPs anticipate and assess HR-related needs and communicate proactively with the HR department and management to develop integrated solutions. This role builds partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Works with Corporate HR Team to develop solutions, programs and policies that support their branch.
  • Serves as an extension of Corporate HR, working closely with Branch Executives to ensure effective communication, policy development, and guidance between the branch location and Corporate.
  • Participate in staff and management meetings as required.
  • Partner with the Benefits Team to create clear, effective communication strategies around benefits offerings.
  • Work closely with management to implement HR strategies and guidance that support the overall mission of the company.
  • Maintains in-depth and up to date knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Partners with VP of Human Resources as needed and/or required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management through counselling, coaching, career development, and/or disciplinary actions.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and engagement, and increase productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Assists and guide management to create offers for new hires, promotions, change of positions, and transfers.
  • May assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Lead change management efforts, helping both employees and management navigate transitions smoothly.
  • Support Recruiting Team with recruiting campaigns & job fairs for the branch.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise HR administrators/generalists and other HR support roles at the assigned branch.
  • Must be able to lead teams and serve as a coach and mentor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Management, Human Resources, or other relative discipline.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP, preferred
  • Minimum - Seven years of demonstrated accomplishment in roles of progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Commensurate education and experience may be considered.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
