How you'll make an impact:

The Vice President, Finance - Product & Technology Organization will serve as the primary senior strategic finance business partner to the Chief Product and Technology Officer. This role involves overseeing all financial aspects of the Product & Technology Organization including evaluating the financial benefits of strategic growth initiatives, identifying opportunities for efficiencies, and working across the organization to ensure operational and financial plans are consistent with Product and Technology delivery schedules. This person will oversee the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning for product and technology investments, will be a member of the Product & Technology Leadership team and manage a team of financial professionals which support this business. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional financial acumen, strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:
  • Act as the senior strategic finance business partner directly supporting the Chief Product & Technology Officer and his management team.
  • Oversee all financial aspects related to the Chief P&T Officer's responsibilities, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for Product & Technology for operating and capital expenditures, ensuring that the planned spend is aligned with the SiriusXM and Pandora strategic objectives.
  • Partner with other finance leads, including the Commercial/Marketing Finance teams, to ensure planned initiatives and delivery dates are aligned with expected strategic and operating outcomes relating to subscriber acquisition, retention and general growth of the business.
  • Align long-term and short-term planning for P&T spend to company-wide objectives, driving transparency and accountability with a strong focus on operational effectiveness.
  • Use your previous experience and market understanding to challenge P&T spend initiatives and identify areas for more effective and efficient operations.
  • Partner with the Product & Technology team in the preparation and presentation of executive level materials, communicating key strategies, metrics and results.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance metrics to evaluate business performance and support decision making.
  • Interact with peers to evaluate and advise on the financial impact of short- and long-term strategic and operational plans.
  • Closely monitor performance against key operating and financial metrics across the business, creating clear financial metrics to ensure results track with projections.
  • Provide strong leadership by setting clear expectations, define goals, and foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment.


What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in finance, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis within the media or technology industries.
  • Strong understanding of product and technology development and operations based on prior experience in product and technology organizations.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, scenario planning, and investment analysis.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Experience developing and managing a company's key operating mechanisms; providing relevant and timely analysis, benchmarks and business insights that inform business decisions and drive profitable growth.
  • General, working understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to effectively present data, analyses, and proposals to a variety of targeted audiences including executives, investors, partners, clients, and employees.
  • Experience recruiting, developing, motivating, and retaining a highly effective finance organization.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Through knowledge of relevant and necessary forecasting and accounting systems. Experience in Anaplan and Essbase a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and/or G-suite.
  • Ability to travel to SiriusXM locations and/or flexibility to work across multiple time zones as needed.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S


At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $225,000 to $285,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
