A Brief Overview
The External Affairs Programs Administrator develops and manages various community-oriented initiatives and projects aimed at fostering positive relationships between the Airport Authority and its external stakeholders. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the Authority's public image, promoting community engagement, celebrating arts and culture of the region, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating outreach efforts, organizing events with local partners, managing the Art in the Airport program and evaluating the effectiveness of department programs to ensure strategic objectives are met.

This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the Authority's public image, promoting community engagement, celebrating arts and culture of the region, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating outreach efforts, organizing events with local partners, managing the Art in the Airport program and evaluating the effectiveness of department programs to ensure strategic objectives are met.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and implement community programs and initiatives designed to enhance the travel experience and support regional partners.
- Coordinate community events, meetings, and activities to promote engagement and awareness of Airport Authority initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with community members, local organizations, government entities, and other stakeholders to support organizational goals.
- Manage the Art in the Airport program including implementing the strategic plan, identifying performing and visual artists, organizing performances and installations, collaborating with consultants and reporting on program metrics.
- Work with local, regional and national artists and arts organizations to provide curatorial assistance while coordinating various components of the temporary and rotating exhibits at the airport(s).
- Assess the effectiveness of community programs through data collection and analysis, and prepare reports for stakeholders and management.
- Develop and manage budgets for External Affairs activities, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively.
- Assist the Community Outreach Programs Manager with planning and execution of Authority initiatives including airport tours, commercial filming and photography, and special events.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and community leaders to leverage resources and maximize impact of community engagement initiatives.
- Perform other similar and related duties as required or directed.
- Bachelor's Degree with major course work in communications, arts, political science or a closely related field.
- 6 or more years sourcing, developing, and managing fine or performing arts programs.
- Highly proficient with Office Suite Software (Core - Email, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation)
- Proficient with Project management software
- Valid Driver's License and a safe, acceptable driving record.
